Main Task: Audience Research

I had to go and ask my potential audience what they would want to see in the magazine that I was going to create, I used the results to help me determine the cost, masthead and genre. I asked a range of people who were all in the age group of 16-19. I used facebook and blackberry messenger as a way of asking these questions, I then recorded the results.

Some of the questions that I asked were:

1. Are you interested in R&B or Hip Hop?

2. How much would you pay for a music magazine?

3. How often do you think a new issue should bereleased?

· Every Week

· Every Day

· Every Other Day

4. Whoare your three favourite artists?

· Drake, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross

· Usher, Justin Timberlake, Drake

· SouljaBoy Tellem, Rihanna, Kanye West

So far my results are showing me that people are more interested in a R&B magazine which is under £2, released weekly and features artists such as Drake. I then found two other people that I were willing to be interviewed for my music magazine.
